FFA Chapter History

A Brief video History of the FFA

Agricultural Education has taken place at Arcadia Local School since as early as 1914. The National Education (Smith-Hughes) Act of 1917 cemented the role of Agricultural Education in rural schools across the United States during this historical turn in the agrarian society. Arcadia also became one the original charter chapters in Ohio under the name of the Washington Township Centralized School in 1928 when the National Future Farmers Organization was founded in Kansas City, Missouri.
