I
received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle School Education at The
University of Findlay as well as my Master of Arts in Education. I have been teaching sixth grade for 15 years and have been teaching a total of 17. This year, I start my 18th year of teaching.
My husband Aaron and I have three children,
Dayne who is fourteen, and Scarlett who is turning thirteen in November, and Ella,
who is nine. We have a Golden Retriever, Ginger and a cat, Saige.
I
enjoy reading every day. It is one of my all time favorite past times. As of now, I have already read 52 novels since the new year. My goal is to get to 75! My pool in my backyard keeps me entertained and relaxed in the summer. We love having friends over and swimming. I also coach cheer for Carey Competition Cheer. I have been cheering since I was three, so now I am passionate about coaching cheer. I also coach basketball and love watching my kids' sporting events.
Throughout this year, as your teacher,
we will be working hard together to further our skills in Reading, Writing, and
Social Studies. I am eager to share my
passion of learning with you as your teacher. Since, I love to read, I will be encouraging you to read, read,
read! Reading is the key to your success
as it is the building block of education and it opens the door to all subjects.
